We got here last Tuesday and have been exploring the grounds since. Jack is loving the golf cart rides and new real estate. But most of all he loved having Grandma Scott here for a while.

We managed to get down to the hot tub twice while Mom was here. While Tony and Mom were in the hot tub I managed 12 laps the first time, 14 the second and 16 today. I need to get my bike out of the storage trailer.
And the golf cart rides were a great, relaxing opportunity. On one trip we drove around the 'Bass Lake' (more like a pond) and took pictures of the small flowers surrounding the edge.

We found some blackberries and a patch of bluebonnets in a nearby garden!
While she was here we had sweet potato pancakes, oatmeal, eggs/toast/turkey bacon, on several mornings. Lunch and dinner varried from tuna salad, DiGourno's veggie pizza, tacos, barbeque chicken, and filets with bakers and cole slaw.
I also practiced hymns on the out of tune piano in the acitivity room. I need to get down there every day.
Friday was the usual clean . . . clean . . . clean!
Monday Tony had shots in his back and Mom went home. We were exhausted when we got home because we left at 6:30 am, having gotten up at 6 and stopping for Starbucks on the way down. I took Mom home after dropping him off about 8, then headed for the Apple Store to get my phone repaired. They are always so helpful. Then I checked our mail picked up Tony, then picked up the Trail Blazer and headed home. We stopped at Whataburger after getting through a horrible traffic jam caused by a major accident at Gulf Banks.
Today I tried to get caught up with cleaning. This involved laundry, reorganizing items that had been out of place while Mom was here, defrosting the freezer and refrigerator, and more. After my dip in the pool and a warm shower (the weather is cool) Tony and I headed for Kroger. We each grabbed a basket and headed for parts unknown. After a leisurely stroll through the huge store we headed for the ice cream aisle and then the register. Oh how we miss our Blue Bell . . . the bars and ice cream we wound up with just don't measure up.
Mom's FaceBook page got hacked today. After getting several messages about friends getting strange messages I changed her password and let her know all was OK. I also had to call her doctor's office to get the MRI appointment changed to the facility the doctor requested. With all taken care of we just snacked today and will have much more to share . . .
We will head to Dallas this Sunday for a day of golf with Melanie and Dale.
